A final offer will be determined by your experience, skills, and interview performance. We’ve built our compensation framework to attract, retain, and reward top performers. We believe in pay for performance, ensuring that your growth and impact are reflected in your rewards. As Teamworks grows, so do your opportunities—whether that’s through advancing your career, contributing to game-changing innovations, or building long-term financial security.

The Opportunity

We're transforming how professional football clubs leverage analytics to make game-changing decisions. As our Solutions Engineer for Teamworks Intelligence, you'll be the technical brain behind our most strategic sales engagements across the globe, with a particular focus on Europe and the Middle East, partnering with elite clubs to demonstrate how cutting-edge soccer analytics can revolutionize recruitment, performance, and competitive advantage.

This isn't just about showing software; it's about proving value through data. You'll build bespoke analyses using real prospect data, translate complex metrics like xG, xA, xT, and VAEP into compelling narratives for executives, and bridge the gap between our world-class data science and the high-stakes decisions that shape championship-winning squads. Working at the intersection of Sales, Product, Engineering, and Data Science, you'll shape both what we sell and how we build it.

This is a rare opportunity to combine deep soccer analytics expertise with customer-facing impact at one of the fastest-growing companies in sports tech, where your technical credibility opens doors, and your insights will drive the company to secure partnerships.

What You'll Do

  • Partner with our Sales Lead as the technical expert throughout the sales cycle, leading discovery sessions, technical deep dives, and executive demonstrations of Teamworks Intelligence across the globe, with a focus in Europe and the Middle East

  • Design and deliver bespoke proof-of-concept analyses using real prospect data to demonstrate measurable value to senior decision-makers and technical stakeholders

  • Translate complex soccer analytics (xG, xA, xT, VAEP, adjusted plus-minus) into clear, actionable insights for both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Lead structured discovery to understand prospect workflows, data maturity, and analytical challenges, then map Teamworks Intelligence capabilities to their specific needs

  • Create compelling slide decks, documents, and visual materials that communicate technical concepts and evidence in ways that drive purchase decisions

  • Support sales cycles by addressing technical questions, methodology concerns, and removing blockers that stand between prospects and contracts

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Data Science to provide field feedback and shape roadmap priorities based on market needs

  • Facilitate smooth handovers from pre-sales to post-sale success, supporting onboarding planning and early customer implementation

  • Maintain deep product knowledge and serve as a trusted advisor on best practices in soccer analytics and performance decision-making

  • Stay current on the evolving football analytics landscape, competitive approaches, and adjacent methodologies, and translate those insights into clear product differentiation and compelling thought-leadership content (blogs, articles, and opinion pieces) that drives inbound interest

What You'll Bring

Must-haves:

  • Proficiency in R and SQL for data analysis, visualization, and ad-hoc reporting

  • Hands-on experience with advanced football analytics metrics (xG, xA, xT, VAEP, adjusted plus-minus) with ability to explain both methodology and practical impact

  • Familiarity with major soccer data providers (StatsBomb, Opta/StatsPerform, SkillCorner) and understanding of their relative strengths and limitations

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to tailor messaging for different audiences, from analysts to C-suite executives

  • Experience creating clear, intuitive visualizations and interactive tools to support demos, storytelling, and decision-making

  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Data teams in fast-moving environments

  • Experience using Google Sheets, Slack, and GitHub for distributed team collaboration

Nice-to-haves:

  • Domain expertise in soccer analytics from working with professional clubs, federations, or soccer data/technology providers

  • Proven ability to bridge technical data science concepts and commercial conversations in customer-facing roles (Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, Technical Consultant)

  • Experience supporting multiple concurrent sales cycles and prioritizing effectively alongside Sales leadership

  • Strong problem-solving mindset focused on practical application of analytics to real-world soccer decisions

  • Advanced degree in statistics, data science, engineering, sports science, or related field

  • Prior experience in sports technology, professional sports organizations, or analytics-driven SaaS environments

Who Thrives Here

You're as comfortable explaining adjusted plus-minus to a sporting director as you are building interactive R Shiny apps for technical analysts. You don't wait to be told what prospects need, you ask the right questions, dig into their workflows, and design demonstrations that prove value with their own data. You thrive in the gray space between data science and sales, translating complex methodology into "so what?" insights that move deals forward. You're collaborative across teams, balancing technical rigor with commercial pragmatism, and you're energized by the challenge of supporting multiple sales cycles simultaneously. You understand that great solutions engineering isn't just about showing what's possible; it's about proving what matters. You're driven by results, energized by challenge, and aligned with our values: honesty, humility, hard work, commitment, innovation, and exceptionalism.
