POSITION SUMMARY
The purpose of this role is to develop and support a network of distributor agencies and independent sales representatives maintain and achieve the financial goals of restor3D. Responsible for educating and supporting distributor teams to effectively drive technology adoption, brand awareness, positive customer, and patient satisfaction. Ability to critically analyze territory performance, and individually contribute where necessary.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBLITIES
Responsibilities for the position include the following. The role may evolve as the company scales:
- Consistently meet sales and financial targets and performance metrics determined by the company.
- Add, replace, and develop a network of geographic distributors, strategic partners and grow the business and drive positive technology awareness.
- Make sales calls with and without distributor sales present. Ability to close and maintain business as needed.
- Drive distributor engagement, accountability, and execution. Hold monthly/quarterly business reviews and annual distributor meetings as needed. Design promotional plans and pricing strategies. Negotiate distributor contracts, renewals, and quotas. Drive effective training of all direct and contracted reps.
- Lead a team of indirect 1099 reps and distributors to consistently deliver results
- Develops quarterly strategic sales plans to meet revenue, market development and company goals.
- Establishes effective relationships and collaborates with other departments (Marketing, Finance, Operations, etc.) to address key business issues and opportunities.
- Ensures all commercial programs are communicated, implemented and coordinated with Marketing and Customer Service.
- Analyzes sales metrics to assist teams in growing sales within region.
- Prepares presentations, business reviews, etc. to support the development, implementation, and communication of performance to objectives and key business strategies.
- Formulates sales and marketing plans and programs. Provides strategic input into the development of sales and marketing strategies.
- Attends important tradeshows and leads company sales meetings.
- Analyzes and controls expenditures to conform to budgetary requirements.
- Participates in formulating and administering company policies and developing long range goals and objectives. Adheres to company compliance policies.
- Provides detailed forecasts as requested for demand planning.
EDUCATION
- A four-year bachelor’s degree, marketing, and/or sales background.
- Successful prior selling experience is required.
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 3 years of sales responsibility in the medical device space, preferably with some orthopedic experience. Total joint arthroplasty experience is a plus. Documented track record of goal achievement, revenue growth.
- Evidence of creativity, strategic planning ability, and sales strategy/execution in the area of medical devices. People or distributor management is desired. Helps maintain a winning and positive culture.
- Must be fluent with medical device concepts and terminology. Working knowledge of the technical aspects of device(s) in the medical field. Experience in OR protocol and hospital contracting.
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written) and interpersonal skills, seminar presentations, individual and small group mentoring/facilitation, and promotional/technical writing. Must be able to communicate effectively with key opinion leading surgeons and salespeople.
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate pricing and contract terms, and forecast potential sales/market share for medical device and instrumentation.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects. Enjoys and works well with other people in a team environment. Self-starter.
