Position Summary:
The Inventory Management Assistant is responsible for physical materials organization, inventory controls, and accurate data maintenance required to support manufacturing and distribution operations. While this position encompasses a broad range of inventory, documentation, and material-handling duties, the primary focus of the role may shift based on operational needs. Core areas of emphasis may include inventory monitoring and reporting, inventory reconciliation and data entry correction, or dock receiving and material intake activities. The position supports accurate inventory tracking, regulatory compliance, and efficient material flow by ensuring both physical inventory and system data remain complete, accurate, and audit-ready.
Essential Functions:
Inventory & Material Handling
Receives, inspects, and releases supplies to production
Removes, transfers, and stores supplies in designated and approved storage locations
Pulls and stocks supplies using FEFO/FIFO methodology
Removes, quarantines, or discards expired or damaged materials to prevent incidental use
Performs supply physical inventory counts and reconciliation activities as required
Monitors and documents storage temperatures for temperature-sensitive supplies and tissue
Assists or performs irradiation (sterilization) load shipments
Inventory Systems & Data Entry:
Reviews manufacturing processing data entry for completeness and accuracy
Updates databases for destroyed, consumed, transferred, or shipped tissue
Maintains storage logs to ensure accurate tracking of incoming and outgoing tissue
Assists with manufacturing inventory scanning activities
Supports maintenance, review, and closing of purchase orders within inventory systems
Documentation & Compliance:
Performs technical review of supply inventory documentation
Performs reconciliation of manufacturing inventory logs
Assists in the creation, update, and maintenance of controlled documents (EN, EXT, LB, etc.) related to inventory, ordering, and release of product
Ensures all inventory and data entry activities comply with SOPs, regulatory requirements, and internal quality standards
General Responsibilities:
Assists Distribution and Shipping departments as operational needs require
Adheres to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all company policies
Completes required training to maintain compliance with applicable governmental laws and regulations
Represents the company professionally and upholds ethical and socially responsible business practices

Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required
Preferred: 1+ year experience in inventory control, manufacturing, distribution, or data entry in a regulated environment
Proficient in MS Office, including Excel; experience with Access, MRP, or inventory systems preferred
Strong data entry accuracy with high attention to detail
Good organizational, administrative, and documentation skills
Effective communication skills in English
Ability to understand manufacturing processes and materials flow
