Software Engineer

Methuen, MA

Position Summary:

The Software Engineer will be responsible for developing software for medical devices used in musculoskeletal treatment.

Essential Functions:

• Develop prototypes and proofs of concept and production-quality solutions;
• Contribute to design, testing and documentation, as well as supporting development of manufacturing test fixtures and documentation;
• Ensure efficient performance and scalability of solutions;
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge of cutting-edge technical developments by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and participating in professional societies; and
• Ensure compliance with applicable U.S. and international governmental laws, rules, and regulations by completing training and maintaining knowledge of compliance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, or a related field and 3 years of experience in a related occupation;
• In the alternative, Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, or a related field and 1 year of experience in a related occupation;
• Experience with object-oriented analysis and design;
• Experience programming in C++;
• Experience programming in Python;
• Experience with Git source control and pull request processes; and
• Experience developing software tools, utilities, and libraries/components.
