Position Summary:
We’re looking for a proactive, detail‑driven Supply Chain Buyer to play a key role in ensuring our supply chain runs smoothly, predictably, and efficiently. In this role, you’ll partner closely with internal and external manufacturing partners, as well as Planning, Operations, Engineering, and Quality Assurance teams, to develop strong supplier partnerships, influence cost‑saving strategies across the organization, and ensure that product is delivered On‑Time‑In‑Full. Your work directly supports our mission of delivering high‑quality medical devices that improve patient outcomes.

Essential functions:
Supply continuity review and management: Reviews and analyzes purchase requisitions, partners directly with manufacturers, and ensures items are delivered On‑Time‑In‑Full.
Purchase order management: Creates, updates, and manages purchase orders, ensuring timely placement and follow‑through to resolution so that materials and services are available to meet sales demand.
Supplier communication and issue resolution: Maintains open communication with suppliers regarding delivery schedules, order status, and changes; anticipates supply risks and resolves issues such as late deliveries, overshipments, invoicing discrepancies, and material non‑conformance.
Cross‑functional coordination: Coordinates with Manufacturing, Planning, Engineering, Quality, and Accounts Payable to support commercial needs, resolve discrepancies, and maintain smooth PO‑to‑invoice processes.
Cost and volume analysis: Performs basic cost analysis and volume planning for assigned commodities. Supports cost‑effective purchasing decisions and inventory objectives, and drives meaningful vendor capacity‑planning reviews.
Supplier performance follow‑up: Participates in regular order‑review and follow‑up activities with suppliers to help maintain a balance of supply and demand while meeting company cost, delivery, and inventory goals. Provides key insight into our strategic vendor roadmap.
Process improvement and team support: Supports the development and implementation of inventory controls and purchasing best practices; provides guidance and informal mentorship to team members as needed.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, or related field
Minimum of 1 year of related purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience
Strong organizational skills and ability to work with minimal supervision
Excellent negotiation, verbal, and written communication skills
Strong customer‑service orientation when working with internal and external stakeholders
Advanced ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines
High proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel, with the ability to collect and review data, establish facts, and solve problems
Advanced critical‑thinking and problem‑solving skills
Strong project‑management skills with excellent organization and prioritization abilities
Attention to detail and a self‑starter mindset
Experience working for a medical device manufacturer
Project‑management experience
