Position Summary:

Nevro, a Globus Medical subsidiary, is hiring a Senior Software Engineer where you will work on our Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) team to shape the next-generation mobile platform that powers our clinician and patient applications. This is a hands-on technical leadership role where you will design and implement modular, scalable mobile solutions using Compose Multiplatform and Kotlin Multiplatform, optimized for code sharing across Android and iOS.

You will champion Clean Architecture, SOLID principles, and test-driven development, ensuring our apps meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, and regulatory compliance. In addition to mobile development, you will also maintain and enhance our existing Windows-based programmer application, ensuring stability and compliance with regulatory standards. Essential Functions:

  • Lead technical design and development of mobile features for Android and iOS using Compose Multiplatform and Kotlin Multiplatform.
  • Drive adherence to Clean Architecture, SOLID principles, and test-first development practices (TDD, BDD with Gherkin).
  • Collaborate with backend engineers to design and refine APIs for secure, efficient data exchange.
  • Implement and maintain automated testing frameworks (JUnit, Compose UI Testing, XCTest) and CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
  • Work closely with UX designers, product managers, and QA to deliver human-centered, high-quality solutions.
  • Participate in code reviews, pair programming, and Agile ceremonies to foster a culture of engineering excellence.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (FDA, ISO, IEC 62304) and contribute to documentation for Class III medical devices.
  • Instrument apps with analytics to monitor adoption and inform product decisions.
  • Maintain and enhance the existing Windows-based programmer application.
  • Mentor team members and contribute to architectural decisions that shape the future of Nevro’s digital ecosystem.

  • Ensures Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 8 years, Master’s degree with 6 years, or PhD with 3 years of related professional experience in mobile application development (Android/iOS).
  • Strong proficiency in Kotlin, Compose Multiplatform, and mobile architecture patterns (MVVM, modular design).
  • Solid understanding of Clean Architecture, SOLID principles, and test design best practices.
  • Experience with dependency injection frameworks (e.g., Koin) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) integration.
  • Experience in C#, .NET development (Visual Studio, C#, .NET).
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to lead technical discussions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in regulated environments (FDA, ISO, IEC 62304) and medical device development.
  • Knowledge of cloud services and willingness to learn beyond mobile development.
  • Published mobile apps in App Store or Google Play.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and collaborative development practices.
