Position Summary:

The Senior HR Generalist provides comprehensive human resources support to assigned client groups and reports directly to the HR Manager. This role works in close partnership with the HR Manager to implement HR programs, apply best practices, and support workforce initiatives aligned with organizational goals. The position contributes to both the execution of day-to-day HR activities and select strategic initiatives, while serving as a trusted resource to managers and employees and escalating complex, sensitive, or high-risk matters to the HR Manager as appropriate.

Essential Functions:

  • Work in close collaboration with the HR Manager to support and implement HR strategies, policies, and best practices.

  • Provide guidance to managers on employee relations matters, performance management, corrective action, and policy interpretation, escalating issues when appropriate.

  • Support employee relations activities through fact-gathering, documentation, follow-up actions, and coordination related to investigations and disciplinary processes.

  • Partner closely with Talent Acquisition to support hiring activities, onboarding coordination, and smooth candidate-to-employee transitions.

  • Execute onboarding activities, including conducting new hire orientation and ensuring completion of required documentation, system access, and compliance requirements.

  • Manage offboarding processes, including termination coordination, exit interviews, system updates, and records management; summarize exit interview trends and observations for review with the HR Manager.

  • Support employee engagement initiatives, recognition efforts, surveys, and related action planning activities.

  • Coordinate with HR Centers of Excellence (COEs), including Benefits, Payroll, HRIS, and Talent, to support accurate HR transactions and timely resolution of employee and manager inquiries.

  • Assist employees with benefits and payroll questions by partnering with COEs and ensuring appropriate follow-through and communication.

  • Support HRIS transactions and data accuracy; experience with Workday or similar systems preferred.

  • File and manage workers’ compensation claims, including incident intake, coordination with managers and carriers, documentation, and ongoing follow-up.

  • Create, maintain, and replace employee badges in accordance with site security and access protocols.

  • Maintain accurate HR records and documentation to ensure compliance with company policies, employment laws, and audit requirements.

  • Contribute insights and recommendations that support continuous improvement of HR processes, service delivery, and employee experience

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

  • Minimum of 5+ years of progressive human resources experience across multiple HR disciplines, including employee relations, performance management, compensation, and employment law.

  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred.

  • Strong working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and HR best practices.

  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion.

  • Experience in a manufacturing industry preferred.

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time to support multiple locations.
