Position Summary:
The Fixed Asset Manager is responsible for overseeing the management, tracking and reporting of the company's fixed assets. This includes assets like machinery, buildings, equipment and vehicles, ensuring they are properly recorded, depreciated and disposed in compliance with company policies and accounting standards. The ideal candidate will have strong background in asset management, accounting and financial reporting.
Essential Functions:
Fixed Asset Tracking and Recording - Ensure all fixed assets are accurately recorded in the asset management system. Maintain a current inventory of fixed assets, including purchases, disposals, transfers and depreciation.
Depreciation Management - Manage the monthly, quarterly and annual depreciation process ensuring it is calculated based on applicable accounting policies and tax regulations. Review and adjust asset records as needed for impairment, revaluation or disposal.
Reporting and Compliance - Prepare and present regular fixed asset reports, including detailed schedules of assets, depreciation and asset value that tie to the financial statements. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations concerning fixed assets. Assist in preparation of financial statements, particularly with respect to fixed assets. Review trends and provide required ad hoc analysis.
Asset Life Cycle Management - Coordinate the acquisition, utilization, maintenance and disposal of fixed assets. Work closely with procurement, operations and finance teams to ensure assets are properly classified and tracked throughout their lifecycle. Manage asset retirements and disposals, including the appropriate financial treatment and compliance with internal policies.
Process Improvement - Continuously improve fixed asset management processes, ensuring efficiency, accuracy and compliance. Develop and implement internal controls related to asset tracking and reporting.
Audit and Internal Controls - Lead and support audits related to fixed assets, providing requested documentation and explanations. Ensure internal controls around asset management processes are robust and followed.

Ensures Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
6+ years of accounting experience with a manufacturing company.
Extensive experience with Excel commands and functions: PIVOTS, LOOKUPS, IF STATEMENTS, CHARTS, INDEX, MATCH, CONDITIONAL FORMATTING. Must pass an excel test.
Knowledge of ERP Systems: SAP and or D365 preferred.
Self-Starter with the ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
