Position Summary:
The Benefits Specialist is responsible for the comprehensive administration of all group benefit programs for Globus Medical employees. This role serves as a primary contact for employee inquiries, claim research, and issue resolution, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and confidentiality standards. The position requires a proactive team player who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and is committed to delivering exceptional service and support.
Essential Functions:
Administer employee benefit programs including enrollments, membership changes, and terminations in accordance with company, provider, state, and federal requirements.
Support annual renewal of benefit programs and open enrollment process.
Deliver benefit orientations, presentations, and plan change communications.
Collaborate with the Payroll Manager to ensure accurate and timely processing of benefit contributions and adjustments.
Assist with onboarding activities, including benefits enrollment and orientation sessions.
Coordinate leave of absence and return-to-work processes with employees, managers, and insurance vendors.
Administer Short-term/Long-term Disability and Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) claims, including tracking and documentation.
Manage workers’ compensation claims, including initial assessments, documentation, reporting to carriers, and employee guidance on treatment protocols.
Coordinate monthly Occupational Health visits and annual on-site clinics.
Process and reconcile invoices for all benefit plans, ensuring accuracy and timely payment.
Ensure HIPAA compliance and maintain confidentiality in all benefit-related matters.
Maintain OSHA 300A and Sharps Log records.
Process annual 1095 reporting requirements.
Partner with COBRA, FSA, and HSA vendors to ensure seamless administration.
Conduct monthly audits to ensure data integrity in Workday and vendor systems.
Ensure compliance with ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, Section 125, and other relevant regulations.
Adheres to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policies.
Ensures Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role
Represents the company in a professional manner and uphold the highest standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions with other employees, customers, suppliers, and other third parties

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.
Minimum of five years of experience in benefits administration.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with HR software is a plus.
Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations and compliance requirements.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Strong time management and organizational skills.
Ability to multitask and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
High level of ethics and confidentiality.
Collaborative team player with a customer-focused mindset.
Workday experience in benefit administration required.
International/global benefits administration is a plus.
