Position Summary:

The Software Engineer Intern – Intraoperative Neuromonitoring (IONM) will support the development of software and system components for the Excelsius™ IONM product. This role involves building prototypes, assisting in data collection and preparation for AI-based signal processing models, and contributing to production-quality solutions in a collaborative, cross-functional engineering environment.

Essential Functions:

• Assist in the development and maintenance of Excelsius™ IONM software and systems.
• Contribute to building prototypes, proofs of concept, and scalable production-level solutions.
• Support the collection and processing of monitoring data for AI-driven learning models.
• Demonstrate a strong passion for software development, craftsmanship, and test-driven development.
• Effectively plan, track, and communicate development efforts, independently or as part of a team.
• Adhere to software development standards, processes, and best practices to ensure high-quality, scalable software.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to influence and enhance product development.
• Comply with the company’s Code of Conduct, AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all relevant internal policies.
• Maintain compliance with applicable domestic and international laws, regulations, and training requirements.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented design principles.
• Experience with .NET C# in Windows and/or web-based environments.
• Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and ES6 JavaScript.
• Experience with JavaScript frameworks like Angular or React is a plus.
• Experience with Git or other version control systems is a plus.
• Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic knowledge of MATLAB or Python, with the ability to perform simple data manipulation, scripting, or analysis tasks is a plus .
