Position Summary:

The role of the Donor Services Assistant is to organize, review, and maintain donor medical records for accuracy, completeness, and compliance. This includes interacting with external agencies to obtain required documentation, protecting donor health information, supporting data entry and retrieval processes, and preparing records for Quality Assurance and Medical Director review. The position follows established guidelines and includes after-hours on-call responsibilities, including weekends and holidays.

Essential Functions:

  • Reviews and assembles medical and agency records to ensure timeliness, completeness, accuracy, and relevance of data

  • Maintains organized databases and logs; manages filing systems to support efficient recordkeeping

  • Inputs and manages electronic data for accurate collection, secure storage, streamlined analysis, and prompt reporting

  • Communicates with external agencies to obtain and complete required medical documentation

  • Safeguards patient health information by ensuring confidentiality, authorized access, and compliance with data security protocols

  • Prepares and evaluates donor medical records and agency documentation for Quality Assurance and Medical Director review; follows guidance from supervisors and established procedures

  • Applies working knowledge of medical terminology, concepts, standards, and practices relevant to the healthcare field

  • Operates under clearly defined procedures and relies on established guidelines to carry out daily responsibilities

  • Participates in scheduled on-call rotations outside of standard business hours, including weekends and holidays

  • Performs additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned to support departmental needs

  • Adheres to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policies

  • Ensures compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role

  • Represents the company in a professional manner and upholds the highest standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions with other employees, customers, suppliers, and other third parties of Globus

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Associate's degree in a medical discipline or equivalent, with 2+ years of experience in a healthcare or related setting required. EMS, MA, CNA, or Medical Unit Clerk preferred

  • Extensive knowledge of medical terminology, regulatory guidelines, and documentation standards, and ability to interpret medical records, identify documentation gaps, and track trends for Quality Control improvement required

  • Basic computer proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel required

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment required

  • Ability to work collaboratively as a team member and remain adaptable in high-pressure situations required

  • Valid driver's license and dependable transportation required
