Position Summary:
The CNC Mechanical Technician is responsible for mechanical support in our in-house prototype machine shop. This individual will also be responsible for maintenance of the machines including coolant, calibration, regularly scheduled maintenance, repair, and routine servicing. Additionally, this individual is responsible for maintaining a clean working environment throughout the prototype shop.
Responsibilities:
Perform problem solving tasks in machine shop per supervisor’s requests
Troubleshoot, repair, service and perform routine maintenance of machines to ensure smooth, trouble-free operation
Maintain clean work environment by regular cleaning and upkeep
Ensure that shop runs consistently with in-house quality system
Maintain all service documentation records according to Globus’ quality system
Responsible for ensuring that all machines and measurement equipment are calibrated regularly as needed and in compliance with Globus’ quality system
Willing to use personal vehicle for occasional deliveries and pick-ups
Person must be flexible for varied work assignments.
Must be a highly motivated self-starter with mechanical aptitude
Qualifications:
Experience in machine shop environment, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and wire EDMs a plus
Experience in a mechanical trade / strong mechanical aptitude a plus
Experience in electrical diagnostics a plus
High school diploma required
Strong self-starter who can work with little or no supervision
Ability to work in fast paced environment. Multi-tasking abilities required for successful job completion
Well organized, detail oriented, and team player capable of working in a deadline dictated environment
Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office a plus
Requires physical ability to work with shop machinery
Valid driver’s license and vehicle

Qualifications:
1+ years’ experience in Machining/Tool & Die making or model making, preferably in the medical device area
Experience with CNC and manual mills, lathes, and EDM machines
Mastercam or related CAM experience a plus
High school diploma required
Proven creative skills in design and ability to improve existing designs
Strong self-starter who can work with little or no supervision
Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced environment
Well organized, detail oriented and team player capable of meeting deadlines
Proficient with Microsoft Office
