Position Summary:

The Systems Engineer, D365/MES is responsible for the implementation, maintenance, customization and support of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Applications (D365 Finance & Operations, D365 Field Service) and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) within the organization's IT infrastructure. The role involves working closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and vendors/consultants to ensure system reliability, performance, and alignment with business objectives.

The ideal candidate must have expertise in enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, manufacturing processes, and systems integration, with a strong background in troubleshooting, system configuration, and optimization.

Essential Functions:

  • Support the deployment, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) and MES platforms.
  • Ensure system stability, performance, and security through proactive monitoring and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with IT and business teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and implement changes.
  • Develop and maintain system documentation, configurations, and best practices.
  • Work closely with manufacturing and operations teams to enhance MES functionality and integrate with D365 Finance & Operations & D365 Field Service.
  • Analyze and optimize business processes by leveraging D365/MES capabilities.
  • Ensure seamless data flow between MES, D365, and other enterprise applications.
  • Provide technical support to users, resolving system-related issues efficiently.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and third-party vendors to troubleshoot and resolve system outages or performance issues.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventive measures.
  • Assist in the integration of MES application with ERP, and other manufacturing systems.
  • Work with developers and functional teams to enhance system capabilities and implement automation.
  • Support API and middleware configurations for system connectivity.
  • Ensure compliance with IT security policies, data governance, and industry standards.
  • Support audits, documentation, and validation activities related to D365/MES systems.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in ERP systems (preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations).
  • Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and integration with ERP platforms.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, shop floor automation, and industrial systems.
  • Proficiency in SQL, system configuration, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Knowledge of API integrations, middleware, and system connectivity.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
