Position Summary:
The IT Technical Support Specialist to provide on-site technical assistance for the Sydney office but also remotely support other sites in ANZ. In this role, you will be a key point of contact for hardware, software, and network support, ensuring smooth day-to-day IT operations.
You will work closely with employees, IT teams, and vendors to troubleshoot issues, implement system updates, and maintain IT infrastructure. This role requires problem-solving skills, excellent customer service, and the ability to collaborate with other IT departments to support the ANZ location.
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Certifications:
CompTIA A+, Network+, or Cisco CCNA (for IT support and networking).
ITIL Foundation (for service operations) and Security+ or CISSP (for cybersecurity).
Experience:
2-4 years in IT support, including L2 incident management, employee onboarding/offboarding, and business systems support.
Technical Skills:
Proficient in workspace setup, asset management, network assistance, and local vendor coordination.
Cybersecurity Knowledge:
Experience with cybersecurity training, policy support, and incident assistance to ensure global compliance.
Business Systems Understanding:
Knowledge of key business systems, Tier I support, change management, and the ability to create knowledge base articles.
Problem-Solving and Communication:
Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users.
Adaptability and Continuous Learning:
Ability to stay current with IT trends and adjust to evolving technologies and processes.
Essential Functions:
Service Operations
Provide tier II technical support, diagnosing and resolving issues for computers, mobile devices, printers, and hardware specific to the ANZ environment
Serve as the primary on-site IT support for all high priority or “white glove” issues involving employee onboarding, hardware, software, and network issues
Help maintain an up-to-date inventory of all IT assets, including computers, peripherals, software licenses, and network equipment. Coordinate with the IT Asset management team regarding hardware purchases, warranty claims, and replacements.
Cyber Security
Support IT Cybersecurity policies including end user training, password management, MFA, and endpoint security
Ensure compliance with corporate IT standards and assist with security audits and incidents
Technical Operations
Collaborate with the technical operations team and assist with infrastructure related issues involving servers, network, and back office IT services
Business Systems & Support
Understand the business systems that the ANZ sites rely upon
Server as Tier 1 support to ensure that business system issues are well documented and routed to the correct support group
