The Sales Development Manager is a hands-on, people-first leader responsible for coaching, developing, and motivating a team of SDRs. You’ll guide reps in mastering the foundational skills of outbound prospecting and pipeline generation—equipping them for long-term success at Levitate. You’ll partner closely with Sales Development Leadership, RevOps, and Account Executives to ensure your team is executing effectively, generating high-quality pipeline, and representing Levitate with authenticity and professionalism. The ideal candidate is curious, empathetic, analytical, and passionate about developing future sales talent.
Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Coaching
- Lead, coach, and motivate a team of SDRs to consistently achieve and exceed activity and pipeline goals.
- Deliver ongoing 1:1 coaching, call reviews, and skills training to build strong selling habits.
- Foster a high-energy, collaborative, and inclusive team culture rooted in accountability and continuous improvement.
- Clearly set expectations, provide structured feedback, and support SDRs in their professional development.
Pipeline Execution & Alignment
- Ensure your team executes Levitate’s prospecting and sales processes with excellence, professionalism, and consistency.
- Partner with RevOps and Sales Development Leadership to implement lead strategies, and support segmentation goals.
- Collaborate with Account Executives to ensure smooth handoffs, strong meeting quality, and alignment on pipeline expectations.
Performance Management & Reporting
- Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly SDR performance metrics; diagnose gaps and implement individualized improvement plans.
- Analyze activity and conversion data to track trends, highlight opportunities, and drive more efficient outreach.
- Maintain accurate reporting and ensure SDRs adhere to workflow, CRM, and sales engagement best practices.
Process Improvement & Innovation
- Share insights from your team to influence outreach strategies, messaging, and process enhancements.
- Contribute to testing and iterations across scripts, workflows, and prospecting tactics to improve effectiveness.
- Support adoption of new tools, processes, and training programs that increase SDR productivity.
Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in SaaS sales; previous SDR management experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of B2B software and outbound prospecting fundamentals, especially cold calling.
- Track record of helping teams consistently meet or exceed goals.
- Analytical, data-informed approach to diagnosing performance and coaching improvements.
- Strong communication skills, empathy, and a passion for developing people.
