Hinge Health Hybrid Model:
We believe that remote work and in-person work have their own advantages and disadvantages, and we want to be able to leverage the best of both worlds. Employees in hybrid roles are required to be in the office 3 days/week.
About the Role
The Design Technologist role is an essential bridge between Design and Engineering teams that ensures that we build consistent, inclusive, and delightful product experiences. You’ll work alongside design systems team members to translate Figma designs into React components, partner with designers and engineers on execution, and support our accessibility efforts.

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Develop a robust and scalable React components library that increases team velocity and product quality
  • Partner with designers and engineers on product teams to drive adoption of our design systems
  • Support our digital accessibility effort to conform with WCAG 2.2 AA
  • Provide tooling, guidance, and best practices to empower designers and engineers
  • Ultimately be an essential partner in delivering our best product

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years on a cross-functional team releasing consumer-grade products and features
  • A track record translating Figma designs into performant React components that flex and scale
  • Strong understanding of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)
  • Experience with accessibility testing and tooling on both web and mobile
  • A systems thinker with an attention to–and appreciation of–design details
  • Dedication to documentation, education, and evangelism of all things design systems
  • Drive to evolve the standards and practices that make our teams great
  • Ability to quickly make informed decisions and move with urgency
  • Passion for communication and collaboration, with a track record for generating visibility and cultivating partnerships
  • A team player invested in fostering belonging on the team and throughout the org
