Carpe, the Durham, NC based personal care brand tackling unwanted sweat all over the body, is looking for a Video Editor.

In this role, you'll be editing a wide range of creative video content to advertise Carpe on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and sometimes even national TV campaigns. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience editing vertical short-form content for our paid social ads and horizontal content for platforms like YouTube and TV. You will work closely with the Senior Video Editor, the Head of Creative R&D, and the rest of the Carpe creative team to review the performance of the ads in order to optimize the creative for engagement, click-through, and conversion.

Skills/Traits Required:

• Exceptional video editing abilities
• A strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of video (vertical and horizontal)
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects
• Experience in color grading, sound editing, and motion graphics
• Strong understanding of video production processes, script structures, and storytelling techniques
• A knack for storytelling/selling, particularly in short form videos
• Excellent communication skills
• Creative, driven, and excited to learn how to make the best social ads

Responsibilities:

• Edit creative video concepts for placement on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and beyond
• Work with the Head of Creative R&D to ensure each creative is edited to the highest potential
• Analyze consumer behavior and optimize the creative based on engagement results
